Military Mail Solutions, Inc. generates approximately one million new customers for the World Wide Web

SHILOH, Georgia, Oct. 16, 2000 – Military Mail Solutions, Inc. today announced the launch of ShipitAPO® (http://www.ShipitAPO®.com), a revolutionary parcel mail forwarding service for APO/FPO address holders.

"E-tailers can now remove the exclusionary signs that read, 'We do not ship to APO/FPO addresses'; a practice that has driven this profitable customer base from their stores. What's more, we are bringing close to a million new customers into the e-commerce world. ShipitAPO® gets APO/FPO address holders back to shopping and gives them choices on where they shop. Because of ShipitAPO®, military mail has finally been mobilized."

ShipitAPO® was created to overcome the specific obstacles that APO/FPO address holders often face when shopping online. The largest one being that many e-commerce web sites enter into exclusive shipping contracts with third party carriers, that cannot get parcels into the U. S. Postal System and therefore cannot make deliveries to APO/FPO addresses.

ShipitAPO® gives each of its members a unique stateside street address to be used as their “Ship To” address when ordering products from online stores, to which any shipping carrier can make deliveries. These addresses alias one of three strategically located ShipitAPO® mailing centers that accept parcels on behalf of the member. These parcels are then placed into the U.S. Postal System, at the lowest Priority Mail® rate, for immediate delivery to the member's APO/FPO address.

Other features of ShipitAPO® include personalized member preferences, parcel tracking, and the ability for members to maintain their own ShipitAPO® address no matter where they may be transferred. In coming months, ShipitAPO® will introduce a repacking service for parcels that exceed APO/FPO weight/size restrictions, as well as the expansion of its base services to friends and family members who want to shop online and have their purchases forwarded to their loved one's APO/FPO address.
