While stationed overseas recently, a couple of us got tired of not being able to order the items we wanted to buy from many online retailers. Time after time we found that we would go through the often lengthy process of searching the web, finding what we wanted at the best price, only to discover that when we tried to "checkout" at the online store, they, and we quote, "DON'T SHIP TO APO/FPO/DPO ADDRESSES." We would then go from store to store until we finally found one that would ship to our APO/FPO/DPO address. Of course, this retailer was never the cheapest. It figures, right? Sometimes we never did find a store willing to ship what we wanted to our APO/FPO address and it was getting to be pain.
So we decided to fix this problem. Our proposed solution was to simply provide APO/FPO address holders with a unique stateside street address, one that they would use as their "Ship To" address when ordering items online. The items would then be sent to this address (us) and we would in turn, mail the items right to the APO/FPO address where they belong. From this concept, ShipitAPO was created.

APO/FPO/DPO addressees register as ShipitAPO Members from our website. Once a Member, they are issued a unique stateside street address. Armed with their ShipitAPO address they are back in the online shopping action by using their ShipitAPO address as the "Ship To" address at any web store's check-out. Packages addressed to the ShipitAPO Member arrive at our facilities and then based on the Member's instructions on record in their account profile, we mail them via USPS Priority Mail straight to the Member's APO/FPO/DPO. For each package we forward, each ShipitAPO Members pays for the postage plus our handling fee and any optional insurance fees. It's as simple as that.
